1) Hazelnuts:
Hazelnut is shell fruit comes from hazelnut tree and the harvest is beginning in the middle of August. It is harvested mainly in Turkey, Italy, Spain, France and USA. Turkey exports about 80 % of total world harvest. In Turkey Ordu, Giresun, Akcakoca or Tarragona ( Spain ) are the main harvest area.
Hazelnut contains about 61 % unsaturated free fatty acids, Carbohydrates are about 11 %, proteins are about 14 %. Furthermore there is a high share of calcium and vitamin E, B1 and B2.

2) Peanuts
Peanuts have average fat content about 50 % with a high share of unsaturated free fatty acids; carbohydrates about 10% and proteins 30 %. Peanut contains vitamin E, B1, B2 and B6.

3) Pistachios
Pistachios were being used for food as early as 7,000 B.C. The trees grew wild in high desert regions and legend has it that lovers met beneath the trees to hear the pistachios crack open on moonlit nights for the promise of good fortune.
Commercial growing of pistachios began in 1800's. World producers include the USA, Turkey, Syria, Italy and Greece .
Three large independent studies have shown that those who eat nuts five times per week reduce their risk of serious heart disease by 30-50%.

4) Almonds
Almonds are the seeds of the stone fruit from the almond tree and cultivation is California (USA), Mediterranean Area and China. There are three types of almonds: Sweet, bitter and shell almonds. Bitter almonds contain poisonous hydrogen cyanide. Due to the industrial process, this kind of stuff is going out of the almonds. Bitter almonds are normally used for the oil production. Shell almonds get their name from the thin and instable shell. They are relatively unimportant.
Only sweet almonds are used in commercial purpose and mainly harvested in California. These almonds have about 50 % fat, 20 % protein, much calcium and vitamins of the B-Group.
